Looks like I’m going to be the official photographer of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Benefit Show on Saturday, May 1.
It’ll be rock & roll heaven with Dave Mason, Cheap Trick, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, The Georgia Satellites and The White Sox, Alan White’s All-Star band all on one ticket. The show lasts from 3-11 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, one of the premier small stages in the country.
I kind of fell into the gig sideways – somebody had dropped out and I had just taken a picture of Rick French, Chairman & CEO of French•West•Vaughan and a member of the Rock Hall Board of Directors.
I’ve only been ‘out’ as a photographer for about four years. But I definitely draw on my experience as an agency producer, particularly work in documentary and real people genres.
I’ve photographed events at Koka Booth before and I play in a couple of local bands, so I’m feeling relatively confident about the outcome.
It’s a great opportunity to get some really unique pictures of a lot of great artists all at once. Gonna have to stock up on Starbucks.
A Few Portraits
Here’s a collection of some of my work photographing people. For more info, contact Perry or Corey.
