Shine Delivers Main Titles for New Netflix Western "The Harder They Fall"

LA -based design + production studio Shine designed + animated the main title sequence and a package of in-film graphics and typography for Netflix's new western The Harder They Fall.

Produced in part by Jay-Z + Lawrence Bender and with a cast including Idris Elba, Regina King, Delroy Lindo, Zazie Beetz + Lakeith Stanfield, THTF tells the tale of revenge-minded outlaw Nat Love + his gang who saddle up to take down enemy Rufus Buck, a ruthless crime boss who just got sprung from prison.

Shine's main title sequence introduces a lengthy list of characters, setting up the relationships and articulating who's aligned with which gang. This helps set the tone and kicks off the story by providing important information in a creative and interesting way. Additionally, the Shine team designed and animated other graphics and typography throughout the film, describing locations and character relationships.
